I have only been to Automasters once.... I went on the recommendation of a nearby muffler shop that I am familiar with and is highly rated in this listing. Glen, Automasters owner/head technician, was able to get me back on the road very quickly and at a very reasonable price. His prices are more like Midwestern prices than West Coast prices. The shop is not pretty. It is loaded with cars (all kinds). It does not look like a dentist's office. The staff look like they work on cars. Glen is grumpy. He is not much for small talk. He is very direct, knows about vehicles, and does not try to upsell you services or repairs you don't need. He seems very honest. One bit of advice: If you bring your car in for service, do NOT park in his driveway!

Glen has been taking care of the cars in my family for many years. My two grown kids recommended his repair shop to me and I've been more than satisfied. He helped me pick my current used car...discouraged the purchase of the first 3. His prices are reasonable, and he never tries to sell me service I don't need right now. He gives me a "heads up" for service I will need in a recommended period of time, so I can prepare and save up!
