I have had only good experiences with Joe at Fritz and Peter's.

I had a junky 1989 Mazda that they worked on a few times for various issues. They always took the attitude of trying to save me money; I had to argue a couple of times to make them do "unnecessary" work because I wanted it done! Definitely honest and competent and otherwise a "good mechanic".

Peter is terrific!! Great service and very easy to deal with. His prices are competitive and he is honest. We will be bringing our cars here for years to come.

I have been looking for an honest, competent mechanic for a couple of years now and after being reffered to fritz and Peter's I have can confidently say I was truely impressed. My work vehicle's cluch went out and after a phone call to them where a gentleman patiently walked though possible resolutions, they took the car in and installed a new cluch bearing and fly wheel gasket along with a free saftey inspection in a rushed time frame of 24 hrs. It is reasurring to have mechanics in the field that are flexible and understanding to the consumer needs. Since I am a male and no women were present, I don't know how they interact with women, but their professional and upstanding disposition would make me believe they would be fair to everyone reguadless. I include this because I think it is important for women to know they are not being lied to based solely on their gender.

They worked on my car once on a minor problem and recommended that I fix something in the near future - that did not yet need fixing. So they didn't fix something that wasn't broken! Then, I had a major problem with my Passat's Heater Core. I called them to see if they could fix it - they said yes but told me I could get it fixed in a less expensive manner and they referred me somewhere else. They saved me hundred's of dollars! They are very honest and competent.

I have been going to this shop for over 25 years. They have serviced my VW bus, rabbit's (2), cabriolet and now Jetta diesel. The son of one of the original owners now runs the business. They are not the cheapest but they do quality work. I was listening to your show today, 06/05/04, and a caller from Oakland, CA called and you mentioned she could look up a mechanic on your web site... so I thought I would submit his business. Thank's for a wonderful and entertaining program. Rex

Joe is awesome. He almost always knows what the problem is and usually fixes it the same day. Close to bart and open at 7 so I didn't have to miss much work. Priced well under the dealer. Guarentee is great. If it isn't right he'll take care of it. He doesn't try to sell me things I don't need. He even referred me back to the dealer when it was a problem on a recall he read about. He saved me a ton of money. He keeps up with all the latest info. When it is dangerous he let's me know. Otherwise, Great service and very friendly people and the shop is very clean. Terry Sandford

I went to Fritz and Peter's shop to have my car checked out before going on a road trip to make sure my car was in decent shape. They found a couple of problems, called me and quoted a price before fixing them, and charged me about the price that they quoted. I was pretty happy with that whole experience. My problem with them is that they didn't tell me that my tires were dangerously in need of replacement. I blew a tire on the freeway (no one was hurt thankfully, but I did do a couple of 360s on the road) and when I checked the tires they were all very bald. I should have checked this myself, but I'd expect that they would have checked my tires and let me know.
