Chuck has been servicing my car for a couple years now, and I've found him to be very trustworthy. He tells me straight what the car needs, how much it's going to cost, and when he will be done. His prices for labor and parts are also very reasonable.

Chuck has been working on my 1990 Saab for over 10 years which now has 170K miles on it. Before that, he worked on my '86 Saab. One of the reasons I haven't bought a new car is because I don't want to leave my mechanic. These guys do a great job, they are totally honest, and they clearly explain what the problem is. They don't rip you off like the dealer by nickel and diming you with labor charges for doing things like installing new wiper blades. As a woman, I totally appreciate the respect and the quality of service. Carolyn -- a loyal customer (Dec 2006)

Just wanted to second that positive review for Chuck Parker at Parker Automotive. I brought my '99 Saab 9-3 in today after the brake light and ABS warning lights flipped on. I just moved to Mountain View so I was nervous to go to him for the first time, and did have a little trouble finding the place (it is tucked behind some kind of theatre school or something, but you know you are in the right place when you see 8 or 10 Saabs from various eras hanging around). Chuck was quietly friendly and, after diagnosing thoroughly, explained to me very clearly (without talking down to me because I am both female and ignorant of how cars actually work) what is going on, with concise and understandable notes on the invoice (so I can run it by my pop later). He knew where to get a rebuilt part so that I would not have to pay about $1000 MORE for a new one. So overall he seemed like a straightforward, honest guy. I was an enthusiastically satisfied customer and would recommend him to any other Saab owner.
