These guys are really stand-up guys. A very busy shop that can always get to you in a timely manner, especially for little things and smog checks. I know several people that WD could have talked into larger repairs, but didn't.

I just got back from taking my car to these guys for the first time. I was thrilled with the service I got. I dropped my car off at 10:30. I was shocked (in a good way) when the called me an hour later and said that my car would be done at 12:00. When I picked my car up the price was less than their estimate, which was already reasonable. They let me know that I had some belts that would need to be replaced "next time," but didn't pressure me at all to get them done right away. And, it was the first place I've been where I felt like they treated me, as a woman, just like they would any guy who came in. I'll definately be back the next time my car needs service.

Western Diagnosis is the best shop I have ever gone to, and I've been going there for almost two years now. I have had some bad experiences at other places, and even though these guys aren't perfect, I feel very comfortable having them work on my cars. When something is wrong when I pick up my car they are very quick about fixing it. They also are very reasonable about diagnosing problems, and will take the time to investigate thoroughly any weird noises I hear. I have had some expensive repairs done there, and I felt confident that I wasn't being ripped off. Also, they suggest that I not make repairs due to expense or importance, so I feel like they are honest, and not just trying to get money out of me. The mechanics are very nice and explain things in detail when I ask. I would recommend Western Diagnosis to everyone.

July 10, 2007 I chose this shop because of these reviews, so now I gotta do my part. My '95 4-Runner failed the smog test (required for registration renewal) this year, 6 months before I plan to sell the car and move out of state. Failing the smog test threw the burden of getting the car up to spec on me, but I'm in a position where I don't want to put any more money into the car than is absolutely necessary to get me through the next six months...I don't know a mechanic, I don't know anything about cars, and this stuff drives me to drink (no pun...). I called this shop and spoke to Greg about the problem. Couldn't have been nicer, calmer, and more responsive. He suggested I come in at 8am the next morning, which is easy for me because their shop is a couple blocks from where I live. I knew a little bit about the problem going into it, and he confirmed and elaborated a bit on what I knew. Even though I arrived an hour later than planned and there were already several cars being worked on when I got there, Greg saw to my problem right away, explaining a complication as it came up along the way. The adjustment took less than an hour and the price seemed fair. My confidence was boosted by the fact that his is also a smog test location, so he knows what's necessary to pass the test...plus he suggested skipping a pre-test, which he could have performed for more money, because he didn't think I'd need it. He was right, the car passed the test the second time. While driving back to my neighborhood I noticed that my idle had changed since the adjustment...I stopped by and he'd heard it as I drove up and knew why I was back. He said it was a common side effect of the adjustment he'd made, he fixed the idle right away (no extra charge) and said there was another adjustment he could also make if that didn't fix the problem and I wanted to come back another day. Great experience. Highly recommend.

George and the guys are great. We have been going to them for years. They are honest, professional, and competent. Their prices are very reasonable and they have gotten our cars back to us in short order. These guys seem really decent. Both my husband and I have had positive interactions with them, and they do not treat me differently because I am a woman.
