We have been taking our cars to this guy for almost 20 years with not one problem and find him to be honest and competent. A real no B.S. kind'a guy! He's old enough to remember things like carburetors, ignition points, and mechanical timing advance mechanisms, and is very competent to work on older vehicles.

George's garage did transmission work for my boyfriend at a reasonable cost and very quickly. They did some minor work for me at short notice, and at a VERY reasonable price. They are very compentent and accomodating.

My wife and I have dealt with George's for 20 years and have referred many others to George and never heard a complaint. He's not only very competent with older vehicles, he's also very sharp on the newer computer-controlled plasticized thingies now called cars. One thing that's different about George -- he loves cars and he loves his work. He always seems to have time to chat about cars and it's really fun to see the sparkle in his eyes when he does so.. (Who ever heard of having fun when getting your car fixed?) I don't think he'll get rich cause he's honest and takes time to enjoy!! (Kinda like Klik and Klak I guess)

As a single female I am appreciative of a mechanic that tkes the time to listen to me, give me options on repairs and explain exactly what he is doing and why. George is that kind of mechanic. Maybe old-fashioned because he takes customer service to heart, but his integrity, honesty and friendliness won me over. My 94 Olds has had an electrical issue from day one and every dealer I went to discounted my description of the issue as nothing showed up in the computer codes. George's shop was recommended by a co-worker I took it to him, he listened and told me since it was under warranty, he didn't want to charge me to fix it. I explained I had already taken it to dealers and kept getting brushed off as no error code in the computer. He suggested I try a dealer one more time and if they didn't fix it to come back and see him. He gave me the name of a local Chevy dealer as well as the name of a service advisor to tell my story and under no circumstances should I shut off the engine! I went, stood my ground with the engine on as I waited in line....what they did is another story.
