I have owned 4 Hondas over the years starting in 1979 and I have taken every one of them to H-Motive. They have always been resonably priced, especially if you want to pay in cash. They even fix little things for free and will let you take your car before you pay once they get to know you. Every person that I have ever recommended to these guys have stuck w/ them never to return to a dealer. I have become so loyal a customer that whenever I buy a new Honda, I take the car to H-Motive for repairs that the local dealer would fix for free under warranty. My local Honda dealer tends to screw things up. I would rather pay to have things done right the first time and H-Motive does things right!

I have been taking my cars (3 Hondas & now an Acura) to Don and Garin since 1984. My 1990 Honda Civic now has about 250,000 miles; both of my sons have had their turn at driving it. I guess I will have to keep driving Hondas or Acuras and I don't know what I will do when they retire.

Based on the other review for this shop, I decided to try out H-Motive. It's close to my work and I really needed my car looked at fast. My Mitsubishi Eclipse was really going through oil quickly and I could find no evidence on the ground of leaks. All I could think was "This is really gonna cost me!" I confessed to both Don and Oz that I didn't know much about cars at all, and I told them what the problem was. A couple hours later I spoke to Don and he said that it was just a broken gasket. Long story short, it would have been sooooo easy for them to have taken me to the cleaners (I never would have known), but they were very fair and honest. And no bullying! Yay! None of that "Well you don't wanna be drivin' around with a broken (fill in a car part term you've never heard of) do ya? Ya gotta fix it, unless you're an idiot." They were very friendly and explained exactly what was wrong. My girlfriend was so impressed by what I have to say about them that she's thinking about bringing her car in, and she lives over 40 miles away from where I work! Go there, you won't regret it.

These guys are the best! They're worth the drive from Woodland Hills to Covina because they are extremely honest, reasonable and do the job the right way the first time. I've been going to them through 15 years and mutliple vehicles. They are primarily a Honda/Accura place, but I take a Toyota and a Lexus to them as well.

Took my Honda Accord there for a system light that was coming on. My car was out of warranty, but they told us it had to do with the seat belt. Because it was a safety issue, they said take it to a dealership, and the manufacturer would cover the cost of replacement. Could have done it themselves and charged us, but didn't. Now my car goes there for all service work, also much better price then the local dealer.
