What distinguishes Paul as a great mechanic is that he has often given us the advice that a repair can wait or that it's something minor rather than simply installing a new part and charging us a lot of money. Here are some things to like about Paul: --he's given us good recommendations for other car places (like for tires, etc.) --he has pictures of his son up around his desk --he has a lovely New Zealander accent --he once fixed our back window's wiper even though we hadn't asked him --he once replace our front headlight even though we hadn't asked him (and he didn't charge us) --he puts up with my stupid questions calmly, and never acts like they're stupid questions. We really like that he's our mechanic.

Paul is honest and quick. It makes his reatively high hourly rate much easier to swallow. He knows Subarus and Mitstus inside and out. He has beeb a Subaru rally team mechanic, and Subaru tapped Paul to engineer the Forester STI and Legacy STI that were shown at the 2006 SEMA show. If Subaru has that much confidence in Paul, I do too.

Paul has always done a good job for me. His prices are reasonable, he's very well qualified, must have at least 20 years of experience, has no problem discussing my issues for as long as I want to pick his brain. His website has more info on his impressive background: http://www.subarurepair.net/
