I've been going to Damian for a few years now. The first time I went to Damian it was on a recommendation from a friend who is a film studio mechanic who met Damian on a car movie shoot. My mechanic friend said he takes his cars to Damian without exception and that he hires Damian for help on films whenever possible. Having had trouble with many shops, I decided to take a chance and drive from Santa Monica to Damian's shop in Chatsworth (approx. 30 miles) hoping to strike mechanic gold. Three words: Damian. Is. Awesome. He's the nicest guy, honest and upfront, he's fast, always explains everything, gives you lots of options (e.g. "Fix it all now or fix only the important stuff?"), and he goes out of his way to find ways to SAVE you money. I will never go anywhere else in LA and I'm posting because I want to share this find with all of my fellow Car Talk listeners in the LA area.
