The Rescue Remembrance Project Educates With a Truck Nearly Destroyed on 9/11

More than 10 percent of the Americans who died on 9/11 were New York City firefighters. Along with the 343 men and women killed, NYFD lost 91 pieces of equipment when the World Trade Center towers collapsed. Two of those trucks — Rescue 4 and Rescue 5 — have been restored as a rolling remembrance, meant to educate generations that were born after the 9/11 attacks.
