Paul is a great head mechanic. He is always honest and good at helping with decisions about prioritizing possible repairs. These folks are great with working with you if you want to do part of the work yourself but can't do all of it. It's the first place I've gone into as a woman where I didn't feels as if they treated me like a dunce. We were trying to keep four teenagers in cars, so we had what we called "a fleet." Paul knew all the kids, all the cars, and all the foibles of all. I couldn't recommend Karl's (and Paul) more heartily.

Paul is the most honest mechanic I have ever had. Whatever he tells me I trust to be right. He has never disappointed. He has been working on my vehicles for over 25 years. First at another shop and now at Karl's. This is a great shop for a woman to take a car.

They know and respect VWs which is really important. I've taken my GTI to them on a number of occasions and they repair it quickly, competently and at fair prices. Most importantly, they level with you regarding how urgent they feel the repair to be. I have referred fellow co-workers to them and they are surprised to hear Paul tell them a repair is not really needed or can be delayed a bit. They will keep your car on the road.
