Darrell's Foreign Car Repair

I've been using Darrell's for nearly ten years and have never had a complaint. He explains costs and alternatives thoroughly, and makes every effort to find quality parts at the lowest price.

Darrell is the most honest and the most competent mechanic I've ever dealt with in the 35 years that I have been driving a car. He has an amazing ability to diagnose my cars' problems just from my description -- somewhat like Tom & Ray! One time I had something loose under my car, making a lot of noise. I brought the car in and he discovered that a bolt was missing from a splash panel. I asked how that might have happened. He asked if I had had the oil changed recently. I was embarassed to admit I had at a local dealership (I had a gift certificate). He said they must have forgotten to put the bolt back on when they changed the oil. He replaced the bolt and didn't charge me a dime for his time (or the bolt). In other words, he stood behind a competitor's job! On top of everything else, he's a nice guy.

This shop treated me with respect and honesty. When a belt tightened more (typical for new belts), I brought it in and they tightened it some more, free and at a time convenient for me. They did not treat me like a dummy even though I'm a woman. I thought the billing price was very reasonable too. I am happy with their service.
