Excellent service! Called on a saturday morning and he worked me in to fix my alternator for half of what the other guys were quoting. Friendly and easygoing, will talk your ear off if you let him and also highly competent.

I've been bringing our cars to Lee Wooten for almost 25 years and have always found him to be extremely competent and honest.

After my Saturn started making a horrible noise on a Friday night, I called on a Saturday morning, hoping against hope that Wooten's was open. They weren't, but Lee Wooten answered anyway and told me to bring my car off and that he would get to it first thing Monday morning. (My spouse was going out of town so I would have no car.) Instead, a few hours later, Lee called to tell me the car was ready and not to worry if I couldn't get there by the time he left; he trusted me to just leave a check in the drop box. We have taken Saturns and Toyotas to Wooten's, and they are always less expensive than other mechanics and work quickly.

Lee Wooten and his staff are the most honest mechanics I have ever met. They provide EXACTLY what I am looking for; honesty and competency. I know when they tell me something that I can rely on it. They will always go the extra mile to be sure everything is fixed and that I am happy with the result. I hope I can always have an honest mechanic to work with and never have to worry. Thanks.

I am an Atlanta-based female business traveler. I was leaving Birmingham for Atlanta late Friday afternoon. Twice within minutes, my car started shaking violently, and I had no control. I went to a mechanic nearby, and they told me my tires needed to be replaced and referred me to another shop to do it. I don't know anything about cars, but I didn't buy that diagnosis for a second. I pulled over and called my dad to get on Car Talk to find a local mechanic quickly. He gave me five mechanics, and since it was 4:50pm on a Friday, I quickly started calling. Even though Wooten Automotive was closed, they knew I was in a bind and unsafe. They agreed to wait for me. I slowly drove to their location, and they were there waiting. Andy (Shop Foreman and Sr. Technician) diagnosed my car quickly. I needed to rent a car to return to Atlanta, and Andy offered to drive me to any rental agency (within a certain area). I wasn't able to obtain a one way rental in that area at that time of day, but at least he offered. I asked for a ballpark quote, and I got one. While I was there, I learned that they have been open in the same location for 61 years. That gave me a sense of confidence. When I picked up my car (again close to closing), it was ready. In addition to making the repair, they rotated my tires and came in less than the ballpark estimate I had been given. These people were very friendly, went beyond their hours of operation and treated me very well. I left there with a car that was running smoother than it had in years. Thumbs UP!
