Everyone should be lucky enough to have such honest, competent, and polite mechanics. I went to Freeman's for the first time when another mechanic told me I needed to have my oil pump replaced for $200 - $300. I thought I needed a second opinion and Freeman's came very highly recommended to me by two different families. Turned out that they fixed the problem for only $50, no new oil pump needed. Right before I made a long trip in my OLD car, I had it serviced by Freeman's. They took the time to make sure that my car would make the trip, and they explained the repairs to me in language I could understand beforehand.

I selected Freeman's shop because of the reviews that I read in the cartalk web page. I am now glad that I did. They treated me very well. I found their prices to be reasonable and competitive. I do believe I have finally found a shop that I will not fear taking my car to. Give them a shot and you will not be disappointed.

Mr. Chuck Freeman worked on my Ford Explorer several times over the course of many years while I lived in Montgomery. He always explained what was going on, and told whether or not I had to replace a part immediately or whether I could "get by" for another 10,000 miles on it. Also, his prices were very resonable. Most of the quicke lube places I know try to force you to get a "transmission fluid change", or some other scheme, even when identical work had been done three months earlier. He has also treated my mother with the utmost respect over the years - and poor thing, she has a Pontiac, so she sees him often. He always makes an effort to find the cheapest route to a repair. My mom even gets him cookies for Christmas! I live in Birmingham now, and I WISH I could find someone up here as honest as Mr. Freeman. My only compaint is that they are not open on Saturdays; otherwise, I would drive the 90 miles to get work done on my new Honda!!

We were on the road, 3 hours from home, spent the night in a hotel because our car had been out of oil, and we were afraid to continue even after adding oil. They were exceptionally kind, did not find the original cause of the problem, but assured us that with the oil having been added, it was safe to drive home. No charge. Very kind. We made it home safely and will now address any problem with our own mechanic.
