After bouncing around a few repair shops, I initially has a Fiat 128, an acquaintance recommended Stringfellow's. I've been going there with various vehicles for 15 years. I've never had a problem or been dissatisfied with this shop. Originally the price was very reasonable. Now it is only average, but more than worth it since one doesnt' need to go back.

We went 10 years without an accident, then BOTH of our cars were rear-ended within 3 weeks. Husband then front-ended van a year later - $10K in damages! They put both cars back together LIKE NEW every time. Not a rattle, nothing (well, the CD player skips...). I got my oil changed recently and a month later the oil pressure gage starts acting like it's posessed. I RAN to Stringfellows afraid my engine would burn up (is it my oil pump? Leak??). Turns out idiots forgot to refil all the oil! They could have charged me for anything and I wouldn't have known - but they put more oil in for me and just charged for that. I went in for new plugs and they told me my wires were just loose - no charge. The 10K wreck? Fixed in ONE WEEK and car has been perfect for 2 years now. My mom was in town and had car problems and they worked her in for me even though typically there's a waiting list. I'm a woman and they treat me with nothing but respect. Love these guys!

I have used Stringfellow for about five years now for
repairs that I just don't have the time to get to myself.
They are by far the most honest auto shop I have ever come
across. From minor annoyances to major engine overhauls,
Gary and his crew will get the job done right the first time.
I send all my friends, family, and coworkers to Gary any
time they mention a need for a mechanic, and Stringfellow is
the only shop I'll use for any mechanic work I need to have
done. They may not be the cheapest in town, but they are
worth the few extra bucks for the piece of mind knowing that
your problems will be fixed correctly the first time and
with honesty.

I've been using Stringfellow for a little over a year for
maintenance on a Mustang. I've been generally happy - on
the last service (60k miles) they swapped out the brake
rotors and pads and changed out the brake fluid. I picked
up the car at the end of the day and discovered that the
brakes had very little initial stopping power. The owner
(last person there) bled the brakes again, it was a little
better; I took it home, discovered on the way that it was
not holding pressure on the brakes :/
Came back the next morning, they bled the brakes correctly
this time. A satisfactory conclusion, but they should have
identified this during the test drive.
