I was 17 when i took my problematic mazda Rx-7 to carmaid I had just been the day before at a dealer ship who made me wait 4hrs after my appoint to get my car in visually look at it for 2.5min and diagnose it with such crackpot answers as needs new sprk plugs(replaced the weekend before -not needed-), air filter(replaced the weekend before -not needed-), shuttervalve (based purely on a guess),and many more uneeded items. the dealer never even set the timing as i requested but yet i was charged for a 1hr diagnosis! Dennis at car maid was instucted to diagnose and set the timing on the same car when i returned to pick up the car it was done on time also dennis set the timing re-routed all the vacume lines. for this he charged me a mere 2.50 for the cost of some new vacume hoses. he also informed me of a bad accelerator pump spring but for 2.50 the car ran like a top. about a year later i went to work for carmaid and time and time again i saw simmilar treatment to all the customers. I'll never forget the look on the ladies eyes who brought her severly poor running car with the sory of how she had taken her car to another shop in town for a tune-up was charged $500+ for sensors she didnt need and when they tried hitting her up for $400 additional to try and fix the problem she brought the car to carmaid for a second opinion. latter that day she returned and was presented a bill for $3.12 for 2 spark plugs the car now ran like a top. apparently when the original mechanic from the other shopdid the tune up he only replased 4 of the six plugs. yet another satisfied customer ... in one word carmaid is HONEST!!

Dennis E. is the only mechanic I truly trust to work on my vehicles. I grew up in Cedarburg and tried the other mechanics in town, but found Dennis to be the only truly honest mechanic in town. If he quotes to you that the job will be done in 1.5 hrs then that's all he will charge you - - even if it takes him 4 hrs. Trust me, I know from experience (Volkswagon Quantum -- manifold exhaust job). He treats every customer the same -- with much respect and politeness. I have seen him comfort a female customer after she entered the shop and explained to him that she had accidentally left the oil cap off her car. He told her that it was no big deal, many people do it and that he would take a look at the engine to make sure she didn't do any damage. No condescending attitude and no snicker or rude comments after she left. Recently, I have moved to Milwaukee, but I still make the drive out to Cedarburg to take my car to Car-Maid. I do this b/c I know that I will get a fair deal and that Dennis will fix it right the first time. Dennis works on foreign and domestic and his specialties are alignments and mufflers. If you live in Cedarburg, Grafton, Thiensville, etc. you should check Car-Maid out. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. One hint, though, Dennis is usually very busy due to his excellent service, so call ahead to schedule any preventative maintenance on you car. He usually gets me in within two weeks, barring holidays. JG

We've been taking our cars to Dennis for years. He is very honest and reliable. He'll look at some minor problem for you and either fix it there on the spot or let you know if it is something more major needs to be done. He'll also let you know if you can hold off on a repair or take care of the problem immediately.

I am very impressed with everyone at Car Maid. They are all very kind and take the time to really listen to you and explain what is going on with your car. Being a single woman who recently moved to the state it was nice that they were so willing to fit me in when my Volkswagen made a funny noise and wouldn't turn over right away. They looked at every possible explanation for this and said that since I had just gotten a new battery that they would talk to the place where I got it if they gave me any problems with replacing it. I have found my mechanics from now on!!
