About seven months ago my 2000 Toyota Avalon (with 130,000 miles) had a check engine light. It was a generic code that can be anything from the gas cap to the oxygen sensors to the mass air flow sensor (and a few other parts). Mark spent some time and diagnosed the specific problem (the mass air flow sensor). He replaced the mass air flow sensor and the problem has been gone ever since. In addition, I have more power. Apparently the mass air flow sensor was under reporting the amount of air flow to the car's computer. In turn the car's computer was limiting the amount of fuel it would give the car (which limited the amount of engine power). The total repair price was about $400. Of which the mass airflow sensor was $220 and the remaining $180 was labor for diagnosing the problem and installing the new part. A substantial number of mechanics would have replaced all of the parts associated with the fault code which would have easily doubled the repair cost. Two different ladies I know recommended him to me. They said he was reliable, did good work and charged reasonable prices. They were right. What I found unbelievable was his warranty: 18 months and unlimited miles. Most shops only warrant their work for 90 days!

My family has been taking our Hondas to Mark for as long as I can remember. He is always professional and upfront about all the work he does and takes time to answer any questions that a customer might have. His quality of workmanship and reasonable pricing are the 'Gold Standard' to which I've compared every other mechanic I've had to have work done by. As long as Mark is in business, I'll take my cars to him.
