A great shop all around. The owner is a mechanic who started as an employee there, and knows how to make the shop run right. The current employees seem to stick around for a long time, enjoying the family atmosphere between the customers and the crew. The rates are reasonable, and the mechanics do good work. Plus they've always stood behind their work, and will go the extra mile on those rare occasions when something doesn't work out right the first time. BTW, Preedys address is 703 E Pacific. That's at the east end of downtown, between Sprague and 2nd (2 blocks north of the old downtown Costco).

I can't begin to tell you how kind Mel and his dad have been. My mom needed either work done to her car or we had a prospective trade that he inspected for us. I am 1200 miles away and she has no ride to and from work. The trade was nearly complete and then her key wouldn't go into the ignition in Preddy's parking lot (Friday afterhours). His dad gave my mom a ride home (10 miles?) and even came back on Saturday to give her a ride to work. They checked out the prospective trade vehicle...91 Tempo....over $1000 in repairs needed....my mom's car ended up needing $500 just to replace the steering column. He told me we were better off just skipping both and getting another car. The problem...my mom had no transportation to find another car. He walked to a nearby lot and scoped it out and found nothing. I searched online and found a used car dealer willing to drive a car to Preedy's for a used car check. Mel checked it out late in the day and called me back saying it was a keeper and advised on an offer for price. I have to tell you I have never met this man or been into Preedy's during the time I lived there and my mom had never set foot into his shop until we began this stressful ordeal, but they have gone above and beyond the call of duty!!! I would trust them with any vehicle you own!! They are truly some honest people with great integrity!!! AAAAA+++++
