Greg's worked on our 1987 Toyota Camry. Not only was the problem not what we/they expected, but they did not charge a huge "diagnostic charge" (just one hour of labor), so we actually got our actual problem fixed, rather than something that it "might" be. We received and ok'd the estimate within hours of taking the car in, and were told exactly when it would be ready. Not only was it ready on time, but the actual cost was $100 less than the estimate (they only charged for the time it took, not the time that they estimated it would take). Bottom line is, reasonable prices, meeting our expectations and treating us as respected customers. Knock wood that we don't have to get our car fixed in the near future, but if we do, without hesitation it will be by Greg's.

I had Greg's work on my 2001 Honda Accord LX Coupe. I would appreciate a more timely repair. I made an appointment for a Thursday morning at 8:00AM which was their opening time. My car was not completed until 6:00pm (closing time) on Friday. I had them replace my timing belt and when I picked up my car, they had forgotten to tighten a drive belt when they put the car back together so my Power Steering didn't work right. Because they are only open Mon-Fri 8am-6pm I was unable to have them repair the problem until first thing Monday Morning. Ryan, behind the desk, is a nice guy and seems to treat customers well. I would use them again but would make an appointment earlier in the week.

I was visiting Seattle for the holiday when my alternator went out. AAA gave us a loaner battery to limp down to Greg's. We dropped it off in their lot after closing time. Greg's diagnosed multiple issues - needed new alternator & battery, multiple oil leaks (valve cover gasket, cam & crank seals), and recommended that three radiator hoses be replaced b/c they'd been damaged by oil. They quoted more than $1800 for the whole repair! I just had them do the alternator and battery so I could get home (Portland). I was able to pick up the car the afternoon after we dropped it off. They charged ~$640 for diagnostics, new battery and alternator. When I got back to Portland, I took it in to my usual mechanic. They said that the radiator hoses were fine. They'd just replaced the cam and crank seals three months ago. I did have them do the valve cover gasket, which they did for about 2/3 the price Greg's had quoted for the same service. I feel like Greg's took advantage of me in a bad situation.
