The main question people ask when looking for car repair is, "Is the shop honest?" Doyle's not only does the best work I've ever gotten on my car[s] but the people there are incredibly honest. They are the only shop I've ever used that has gone "the extra mile" for me. One example will save a thousand words. My 1990 Dodge Caravan had an engine and transmission rebuild. One month past the 12 month warrenty, the tranny went out. Six months before, the tranny warrenty had been extended to 3 years/30,000 miles. Jon, owner of Doyles went to his supplier and asked if they would honor the new tranny warrenty on the old tranny, especially since the two shops have a history of dealing with each other than spans several generations. The transmission supplier refused. No amount of converssation on Jon's part would affect a change. Jon called me and explained the situation. His solution was to ask whether I would be willing to split the cost of a new rebuilt tranny at Jon's wholesale cost. He would then install it for free. That solution seemed both fair and reasonable to both of us so I agreed. There have been other cases, big and small, since that time which demonstrate the honesty and forthright character of the people who own and operate Doyle's. If you live in West Seattle [or anywhere else in Seattle, for that matter] I wholeheartedly reccomend this shop. I only wish there were more mechanics like these guys.
