I must admit, with so many auto repair shops around, I really tend to migrate to those that pay attention to the little details in addition to their normal maintenance procedures--and that take pride in the fact that they do. Particularly the shops that deliver what they promise (like something so minor like finishing your car on time). It tells me that they take pride in the work they do in general. Whenever I get my Pathfinder back from the service department, it has always been washed, vacuumed and every now and again, I find a nice scented item inside.... puts a smile on your face to see that someone cares about your car as much as you do and truly wishes to keep it looking and running as well as it did the day it was driven off the lot new. I have been to several other repair shops and, until I found this service department, never found one that actually suggested NOT to repair something that was truly unnecessary or a simply a waste of money-- a department that recommended that you wait until the repair was absolutely necessary (like the next 60,000 mile service) and just periodically inspecting it during routine maintenance. They've even recommended far less expensive alternatives for necessary repairs before I'd even had the chance to ask if any even exist! It's refreshing to see this kind of dedication and quality of service provided to customers. I have been to other repair shops that did the opposite -- using scare tactics in an attempt to charge you the maximum amount of fees possible, for no good reason. I am certain that there are many others out there who, terrified of the prospect of being left stranded somewhere, went ahead and spent their money for the "critical repair", only to find out later by another mechanic that it was utterly unnecessary .... following Puyallup Nissan's advice and maintenance schedule, I haven't been stranded yet and seriously doubt I will ever be!
