ASE certified Master Mechanic Scott VonBargen owns the AAA Approved Auto Repair shop Autoworks. Along with crack office manager/mechanic Jason Mallick, the guys at Autoworks know what they're doing and offer excellent customer service. Scott once rescued me when stranded by unclogging my Chevy pickup's fuel line with a well-aimed rubber mallet, for no charge, rather than trying to sell unnecessary repair work. Jason has consistently correctly diagnosed problems with my '86 Honda and had them fixed efficiently and economically. Service is as straightforward as their slogan states: "Foreign or Domestic-New or Used-Whatever the Problem-We Make Sure Your Auto Works!" It's true-They do! And you can trust your vehicle to their expert workmanship.

Autoworks has been working on my vehicles for about 10 years. They have worked on our '95 subaru, '77 Chevy truck, '89 Nissan truck, and '86 deisel VW. I started by getting oil changes because they had such great deals. As a woman they never tried to doop me into services I did not need and would suggest other shops if they knew that they could provide the service at a better price. I like that they honest, funny, and just all around good guys who do a good job on my old and new vehicles. They alway make my autowork!

These guys have run to my house and bailed me out a few times, they are hometown friendly and most importantly to a non-mechanic single female they are honest and affordable. I never have felt like they are trying to sell me something I don't need. If they didn't get it fixed, there's no charge. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

I recently purchased a 2002 Nissan Xterra, and it was about ready for the 105,000 mile maintenance and also had a few other problems. I went to 5 shops in Ellensburg, and Autoworks was best in competence and knowledge, cleanliness of the shop, cost estimate, friendliness, and time responding with the estimate. I got the estimate right when I went in and brought the car back a day later, and they went to work. They informed me that I didn't need about $500 of work that another mechanic told me I did, and Autoworks knew I would have paid for it. They completed the 105,000 mile maintenance (timing belt and water pump) quickly. One of the problems I thought the car had was two leaking drive train seals, which turned out to be just dirt packed in. They didn't even charge me for the cleaning. They also provided rides for me for dropping off and picking up my car. The person who answers the phone and mans the desk is a mechanic and is very knowledgeable and friendly. Great people, great work, I will be back if needed.
