We've been taking our cars to this place for 10+ years. The owner died 3-4 years ago and his main mechanic Gary took over the management of this and another shop. We have even taken difficult electrical problems there and he is always right on. If he is not sure he never hesitates to send us to someone who might be better. We have been told we needed expensive repairs by others, taken it to Gary and sometimes he concurs and sometimes not. He is always fair and honest. He knows lots and helps educate us if we have questions. We have referred many people to them over the years and they are all happy and still going to Eastside T&M for repairs.

Eastside does solid work for reasonable rates and don't try to gouge you. They are willing to take the time to explain what they are doing in detail and even show you how to make simpler repairs yourself. They are very prompt and good about keeping in touch and letting you know the status of your repairs. They'll also show you any broken or damaged parts they discovered in the course of their repairs so you can see the problem for yourself. (Which can be kind of scary when you realize what you've been driving with!) They do a good job of keeping an eye out for problems -- I had my vehicle in for regular maintenance and they noticed that one of the steering rods was bent and barely holding into its frame. Their attention to detail saved me from potentially losing control of my vehicle on the road. The only time I ever had a problem with their work was when a brake shoe was improperly installed, causing it to wear down much faster than normal. When I discovered and reported the problem a few weeks later, they promptly replaced all my brake shoes (not just the improperly installed one) and refunded my money. My parents also take their cars there and have nothing but praise for them. They have worked on Chrysler, Jeep, Mercedes and Jaguar cars for us and seem very knowledgeable about all types of cars.
