They are very honest and don't try to sell you something you do not need. But will tell if they fine a problem. These are the guys that have the tools and the know how to re-build an exaust system from scratch.

They are the only ones I could find willing to tackle my Isuzu and charged me $280 for a job the dealer quoted me $1200.

I have been going to Utton's as my primary mechanic for 7 years now. I bought my current vehicle, a 1997 Subaru Legacy Outback wagon, because it was my dream car and also because I knew that it was coming from the most trustworthy hands I knew of...Keith Brown, my mechanic at Utton's. I handed Keith the check before I ever laid eyes on the car, no doubt. Any time I've had a problem with Lex, I show up at the shop and within moments, Keith or Eric or Steve is outside, checking out the problem and fixing it immediately, when possible. And if Lex needs more time with the doctor, I've been given the keys to their company car for making sure I get where I need to be. This is service and reliability that I would never go anywhere else to find. Today I stated aloud to Keith, "Don't take this the wrong way, but Lex and I love you." I meant every word of it. I would recommend only those Utton's folks to everyone...they rock!

Utton's is awesome. Keith is one of the few diesel mechanics I've found in the area and if someone thing goes wrong with their repairs they fix it.

Recently a dealer told me it would cost $700 to inspect my truck when I just had $400 of work done there recently and they never said anything else was wrong. I got a second opinion with Utton's and it was just a sensor to be replaced and cost me $150 instead of $700!

Years ago, I went to to Utton's when they were known as "Utton's Mufflers". At that time I also had a good regular mechanic. But eventually, the mechanic got to the point where he was fed up with rescuing older-model cars. That's when I learned that Utton's had changed to full service, and I switched my business to them. They've been down-to-earth, helpful, up front on car problems and reasonably priced. I've recommended them to several people who've been pleased with their service and prices.

I absolutely love the folks at Utton's. They are honest, fairly prices, and they'll take you under your car or under the hood and show you exactly what the problem is. They work on a full range of mechanical problems and not just mufflers and they will be creative when finding a solution that will fit both the required repairs and your budget. They custom bend exhaust so they can cut out whatever is bad and weld in a replacement for just that area rather than making you pop for the whole system and this has saved my cookies more than once. Make of car does not seem to be a problem as I've had them work on everything from a 71 Caddillac ambulance to an old Chevy Impala and a fairly new Ford...at the moment they are keeping my 88 Toyota Celica going. I've had bad experiences at other shops, but Utton's has consistantly been honest and reliable for the last 16 years.
