They are great mechanics and never make fun of a customer's car no matter how crumby it may be. They never recommend doing more work than is really necessary. I'd say they are minimalists. Great for someone who has a car that has seen better days and you're just trying to nurse it along to get you through another year or two. That's not to say you shouldn't take you nice new VW or Audi to Nick or Bill to work on. They treat all cars with respect and care, and they know their stuff!

Place doesn't look like your "Consumer Report" recommended shop. Stacks of parts, boxes, etc lying around. They do know their VWs. It is only because of them that we can keep my cars for 200k + miles. They alway try to find good used parts or after market parts. Also seem to know when to expect to have to replace/fix parts. Never suggest unneeded repairs. We have been using them for 10 years.

These guys do a good job at reasonable prices. It's too bad they moved from Williston, VT, to Milton, VT. It's a bit of a haul for me to get there now. Looking for somebody just as good, but closer.

These guys are great. My old beat-up Jetta lasted 2 years longer than I expected thanks to these guys. Great work, reasonable prices. The ONLY problem I've ever had with them, and I mean ONLY problem, is that once you get Bill talking, you're gonna be there a while because he goes on and on. But he's obviously really knowledgable and passionate about fixing VW's. I can't rave too much about these guys. They rock.

I'm a former customer who moved to a different state and wish I could've taken my car's mechanic with me -- my VWs have benefited from Vt Wagen Werks' expertise since 1988, and I've become a friend of theirs over the years, so occasionally I solicit and receive email advice on my car even now. The more I take my car to different shops, the more I realize VWW is a rare find. Yeah, Bill can talk a mean streak -- but his brother makes up for it. Great balance, great shop.

These guys know everything there is to knwo about Volkswagens, (at least Bill does, the other guy never talks). I assume the same is true of Audis, but I've never owned one. They are honest and does good quality work. If you're short on cash, he'll try to find you used parts, or try to patch things together for cheap.
