GUS IS THE MANAGER/HEAD MECHANIC OF HIS SHOP. HE TEST DRIVES EACH CAR AFTER WORK HAS BEEN DONE. HIS PRICES ARE COMPLETELY REASONABLE AND HE HAS ALWAYS BEEN SCRUPULOUS IN DOING ONLY WHAT REALLY NEEDS TO BE DONE. HIS SHOP IS VERY HANDY SINCE IT IS ON RT 60E BETWEEN KINGSMILL AND TOWN. I AGREE WHOLEHEARTEDLY WITH THE COMMENTS ABOUT KARL AT COLONIAL FOREIGN CAR AND WOULD SUGGEST GUS TO ANY CUSTOMER OF KARL'S WHO HAS DIFFICULTY GETTING TO THAT SIDE OF TOWN. THEY ARE BOTH FINE GENTLEMEN TO DO BUSINESS WITH.

I brought my Buick in with an intermitent problem. Immediately, they had a couple of ideas but recommended doing what they had done with other low mileage Buicks and the least expensive - a cleaning/flush of the engine. I picked my car up and eventually found that the problem had come back/wasn't fixed. I brought the car back and they tried all kinds of things - replacing different parts and another flush. Nothing they did solved the problem, which sounds bad. However, for this second trip they did not charge me a single penny despite hours of labor devoted to my car. They said the problem wasn't going to destroy my car and that I should take it to the dealer and have the dealer call them to explain everything they had done. I took it to the dealer, who refused to talk to the repair shop, and proceeded to do the exact same flush (for twice the price). They then told me to live with the problem. Pete and the staff there were helpful, understanding, and above all completely honest in dealing with my car. Too bad I moved!

Impact, Pete, and now, daughter, Marlee, are honest and straightforward working with me. They have a couple master mechanics, and all of them are experienced mechanics. Their tire person handled a problem with the Acura aluminum rims that two other shops indicated would have to be replaced. 20K miles later everything is still fine. They do real wrenching, determining the problem versus guess and replace.
