I know there's a lot of 5's up there, but they are absolutely genuine, especially the honesty deal. Twice, when a problem has occurred that was marginally possible as his mistake, he was more than willing to replace the part and redo fluids, etc. at no part or labour cost to me. Yes I said "labour" with a "U"...got a proublem with that? He's a great guy, a simple, down to earth good mechanic. He also has that great tolerance of people that many mechanics do not possess--by that I mean that when my mom complains of a noise that my dad and I can't seem to notice, and she goes in, and he drives it and doesn't hear anything, he still believes that she may be hearing something, and checks out whatever might make sense from her description. He will do quick checks on possible problems and diagnose them without charge. He is very flexible on time...before he takes the car on vacation, my dad has him check it a week before for any general problems. If something he finds will take a week to get parts or something, he does it right away so that we can try to get out of town on time. One time he helped me break back into my car when I locked my keys in there as I fueled the tank...the stupid lock likes to slide back down every now and then...but he was happy to come right out and slim jim it open for me...no charge, no problem with helping me out. I thank you for this database of good mechanics, and I think that David will make a great addition to the list. I know that he's at the top of my family's list! -Matt
