My Toyota "Echo" had 55,000 miles and started having a noise, coming from underneath the car. The Mechanic on the largest Toyota dealership compassionately delivered a bad news- my Transmission needed to be replaced. I have serviced that car faithfully with the dealership on a regular basis with all recommended preventive work. Never had any problems. Just a few weeks before I had a flat tire, which was replaced with a new one; remaining 3 old tires /8 years old/ did not need replacing, according to the mechanic, who performed the job. The second shop confirmed the diagnosis and offered the same solution- replace Transmission. A Friend of mine recommended me to see the "Best specialist in the region" for the third opinion. Mechanic on Weaver Transmission carefully checked my car- drove it , lifted it -For FREE- and explained that I had to change all my very old tires at the same time, because the difference in the radius of the tires/new and 8 y. old/ puts the burden on the transmission, causing it to work with the different speed- that is the cause of my problem. Simply changing all tires will alleviate the problem. Needless to say that after I did it right away- not one Mechanic found the problem with my very same Transmission. Two of the Mechanics were from two different Toyota Dealerships. The knowledge, the diligence and honesty of Weaver Transmission were unmatched among the best of the specialists.
