We always trust the opinion of the mechanics here and know that we're not being taken advantage of. The prices are reasonable also!

Within a month of moving here, I blew a water pump or alternator (I forget which). I asked around, and several people recommended one of two mechanics who coincidentally were across the street from one another. Using my keenly developed problem solving skills (coin flip), I picked Lawson's Garage. He told me the repair would be something like $225 parts & labor (price doesn't matter, but seemed ballpark for the repair). When I came to get the car, the actual bill was something like $223.80. It was the first time in years I'd had a car fixed and the actual bill was less than the estimate. Since then it's always been that way. If he finds something not discussed, he calls first. This, and of course it's usually correct the first try. This kind of mechanic you keep. As for the guy across the street (Mr. Staton)? I hear it's pretty much the same story. It's a choice I'd love to face more often.
