Finally found some folks I have no reservations about recommending. Took my minivan to be serviced at the dealer and got a long laundry list and an $850 estimate. These guys weeded out the stuff that needed to be done from the stuff the dealer was going to do because that's just what you do at a particular time or mileage mark.

Picked the McMillans from this web site, then discovered a friend has dealt with them for 24 yrs. and strongly recommends them. Had just this one experience and they will be my first choice next time. Trustworthy and trusting. A familay affair; husband and wife and two sons. Very experienced. Friendly and accommodating.

We've been dealing with Mr. & Mrs. McMillan since 1999 and they've serviced four different vehicles for us. They are very honest and upfront about saying whether they can or can not do a particular job. And, every time they've recommended a specialty shop for a job they couldn't perform, that shop has always been as honest as they are. I chose the "Biased Customer" choice because I wouldn't consider another mechanic now, unless they recommended one. And they remind me of my Grandparents and how they ran their Taxi Cab business. :-) I also chose Kinda/Sorta on hours of operation because they are a Family Shop and only work during normal weekday hours and Saturdays. I also sent an Online Friend to them when she had some serious transmission problems and was having difficulty finding a local mechanic she could trust. I dunno who they sent her to, but she was so happy that I sent her to the McMillans.
