The Jon's, Jon Collins Sr. and his son, Jon Jr., are the kind of guys I advise my kids (and students - college variety) to find when they move to a new city. They remind me of the old-fashion mecahnics that my parents used in the 60's in MA. Utterly trustworthy - and competent. The times that they haven't charged me to do something I've lost count of. They don't handle "extended new-car" warranties too well, but everything else... My wife had car disaster when I was awy once - she called - they came to the house, got the car started and to their shop - fixed it and came back and delivered it to her. I found out 4 months later in idle conversation - that's how "normal" such things are for these guys (and us). No higher recommeddation possible.

I brought in my jeep that would not shift into 4WD. They called me back in just a few hours, explained the problem, and offered me the option of coming in so they could show me. My vehicle is rare ('89 Grand Wangoneer), so parts are hard to come by. They quoted me prices for the part through their supplier, but also suggested that I may find one cheaper on my own. 2 days later, I got the part (trans. case shift motor). VA was about to get a blizzard calling for 17" of snow. I brought the part over, and they installed it for me on the spot, saving me from the snow! NICE guys, REASONABLE prices, FAST work. I will definitely return and recommend them to everyone. Thanks guys!

My daughter, a UMW student, needed a new engine in her 2000 VW Jetta. I called John Jr. when I was trying to decide whether to repair or scrap the car. His dad, John Sr., found a really nice salvage engine at an area yard. They did the work in short order and on budget. They happily took care of a small problem that surfaced a week after I picked up the car. I was a stranger when I showed up on their doorstep, but they treated me like an old customer. I'd trust these guys with anything.

Jon Collins and his dad, Jon Collins, are very competent and trustworthy. They are a credit to their profession and the human race. I have had two big jobs done there to complete satisfaction. Removed and replaced engine in '99 VW Jetta, 3 years ago with an excellent junkyard takeout $3600, and after 25000 miles, I'm still happy. R&R AC condenser in '02 Dodge Caravan, an all-day job. Took picture of work in progress and walked me through the process before starting. I'm pissed at Chrysler Corp at their failure, but All Car did good repair work. $1400. Bottom line --> highly recommended.
