Owner and mechanics are VERY knowledgeable about all kinds of cars and often have to clean up messes left by incompetents at other service centers. One example: A service station mechanic had insisted that my 1995 Contour had a blown head gasket and might need engine repairs in the $2000+ range. I had the car towed to Adams, where they discovered that it simply needed a new water pump for about $600.

This was the first time I've ever had an optimistic view of humanity upon leaving a mechanic. I only went in there to have a loose belt tightened (which they did for free), but I will definitely take my car back there in the future. In fact, after the mechanic heard the sorry state of affairs my struts are in, he offered me a 25% off discount when I choose to stop putting off this repair. In short, Adams Automotive was polite, honest, knowledgeable, quick to service my car, and I didn't feel pressured to instantly fix other 'problems' that my car has.
