I found this shop after I lost a CV Joint on a 84 VW Rabbit. I also found out that he was the manager of the Autohaus in Herndon, but was asked to leave this position, for a Son-In-Law replacement. He started his own shop and has had nothing but success. Dan takes the time to explain everything, and even tells you what you can get by with if you are having cash flow difficulties. He has a strong background with foreign cars, but have had no difficulties with any vehicle that comes to his door. He will make suggestions and always wait for you to make a decision of your with no pressures what-so-ever.... Please call him, tell him Randy Smith sent you.

About 3 years ago, this shop was rated very highly by consumer Checkbook Magazine. Find a good, reliable technician that you can trust is rare. To find one within a 10 minute drive from my home was a real surprise. Our daughters car, a Nissan Sentra, has had numerous "growing old" problems and Dan and his team has always been extremely helpful getting her car back on the road. I cannot recommend his shop highly enough. His easy going manner, honesty and his genuine desire to have a happy customer is commendable. If there were one thing I'd change with his shop, it would be his hours. It would really be nice if he were open on Saturdays, but I guess business is good and he doesn't need to!

They were the reason my Honda went to 275,000 miles. Dan has a very easy going manner -- almost family. I know the mechanics, and they are good. Now I take my wife's car there as well as my new car.

I have used your website to find a competent and honest mechanic for my daughter in Denver and now she has moved to Sterling, Va. So, I found Absolut Autoworks on your site. Yesterday, my daughter was experiencing a squealing brake problem and took her vehicle to Meineke to have it looked at (advertised free brake check). I warned her about the possibility that they would find a "dangerous problem" to fix, and they did not disappoint. They found she needed ball joints for $400 and said it would be "dangerous" to be driving the car. Since the car had been inspected in NYS three months prior, I suspected that the ball joints were OK and I recommended that she seek a second opinion. She stopped at Absolut Autoworks on her way home from Meineke, and a mechanic there checked her ball joints on the spot, for free and told her that they were fine. She took their business card and told them that they would, from now on, be her mechanic of choice. As the father of a daughter who lives 300 miles away, I am very grateful for honest mechanics like Absolut.

Washington Checkbook highly recommended Absolut Autoworks in 2003 when I first moved to Sterling, VA. It's 2010, and they're still my repair shop and my #1 recommendation to others who are in need of one.
