The Japanese Auto Clinic has kept my 86 Honda Accord LX running well for over 11 years and 215,000 miles. They are always cheaper than the dealer, they always use genuine Honda parts They do right the first time - on time at the estimated price. Oh yeah, what I like best, is if something is NOT worth repairing, they will actually tell you.

Took car in to have nail removed from tire, left with two broken lugs that resulted from over-tightning. Acura dealer replaced the lugs. Great for economical after market repairs, newer vehicles beware.

Japanese Auto Clinic has treated me and my wife well for 7+ years, separately and together. They are bar-none the best Japanese Car guys here in Arlington VA. They take the time to show you the problem, and will give you a good prices, and have beat prices before. They are right down the street from a Toyota parts store, and are always timely with repairs. All these "5 Agree Strongly" comments are completely true. When I had a overheating problem, they charged me $15 for a new radiator cap. They have worked for hours on my friend's car and couldn't solve the problem, and didn't charge one dime!!! She forced $20 on them. I have nothing bad to say about these guys. The metro is about 1 mile away...

I learned about their honesty through experience. My roommate took his '93 honda accord in for brake work at the brown dealership down the street on lee highway. they gave him a list of necessary repairs (including brakes and rotors) that totaled $1200. He took the list and the car to the Japanese auto clinic and asked them to do the same repairs. The next day his car was ready. It needed new brake pads and a new oil filter. Total was about $200. The first time I brought my car there it was to repair the transmission. They broke the transmission in the process of fixing it. Not only did they put in a 3rd transmission at no cost, but also put in a new radiator at no cost for the screw up and inconvenience. I would never take my car anywhere else.

The Japanese Auto Clinic (703) 528-1812 is one of the best managed shops in town. I have been using this shop exclusively for about 4 years. Their knowledge of Japanese cars is extensive. They are able to quickly diagnose problems and fix most jobs in a day. Mr. Lim is a pleasure to deal with. They are extremely competent and honest. They are a busy shop and never recommend unncessary work. Their quality is superb far surpassing any Subaru or Toyota dealership. They only fix real problems. They are extremely adept at fixing major problems as well. My coworker had an engine replaced and the whole experience was superb. Do yourself a favor take your Japanese cars to this outstanding shop.

I drive a 1996 Civic hatchback with 125,000 miles. A friend of mine recommended this place after I got tired of paying inflated repair costs at Honda dealerships in the DC area. I've had them work on/replace my CV joints, my oxygen sensor and my catalytic converter and in each instance they diagnosed and repaired the problem quickly and cheaply. More importantly, I've never had to go back after a repair has been made. I would recommend this shop without reservation for anybody who wants quality work done at a reasonable price.

This shop is top notch. They are very honest and only fix what is essential. Yet their quality is consistently better than any dealership. They can complete all jobs in a day and work is always done professionally and at a fair price.

I have used Japanese Auto Clinic for the past 15+ years for my Toyota, Honda, and both Subarus. They are without a doubt the absolute best and honest shop around. I now live 25 miles away near Dulles Airport and I STILL will make the drive to Arlington to have them work on my cars. I can't praise their honesty and expertise enough!!!

I have used these guys for 18 years and think they are great. They are not inlcined to 'over-repair' (I asked them to fix a noisy power R rear door lock and they said "why? It would cost 200 bucks to fix but we can just disconnect that door for free...") - briliant solution I thought. They have been low cost and effective in all areas. I definitely recommend them.
