These mechanics are great. they have always gone out of their way to save me money. they are honest with their estimates and extremely competent in their work. when you find a good, honest mechanic, you hang on to them. i've been ripped-off enough by other garages, I would not take our vehicles anywhere but this Tunex.

I had already put plugs, wires/cap, air filter, gas filter, and timed my 1990 Toyota Tercel to get it to pass tailpipe emission testing at idle. No joy. This Tunex shop found the problem right away. The vacuum line to the high-altitude compensator had been bypassed and plugged by a previous owner. This lived in Vermont most if its life. Now we are at 4500 feet in Utah. Tunex put the lines back to factory-standard and checked the low-end emissions. Passed fine. Without the compensator working, gas was being poured into the carb at idle, making CO and Hydrocarbons very richly (where it failed). $35 and problem fixed. I found thesd guys through Car Talk, and my experience was excellent. They know their stuff and treat you fair.
