My Lexus ES350 asks for premium gas. After 77K miles I find the following: mixed driving gets about 1-2 mpg better performance with regular gas; but, highway driving gets 2-4 extra mpg with premium gas. I can get 33 mpg on the highway with premium given a flat highway - really good for this size...

You should cover the concept of driving pick-up trucks with the gate down again. I pass so many people who leave their gate down, and I know they think they are getting better gas mileage. I do not think the air dynamics supports any gas savings.
