I'm concerned that the "agree strongly" fails to demonstrate that I am a picky consumer, but these guys are good...and best of all they are honest. The mechanics are good but it is the people on the service desk (owner Gene and his two employees Mike and Ron) that make the difference. I have two college student sons whom I still support and support means with cars and car repairs. Twice this year I have taken the kid's cars in to have Plano Tire to evaluate the shape of the tires before I send the kids off to school. Both times (different cars) they said, "Hey John, you don't need to put new tires on this car yet. There's plenty of thread and it's safe to put the kids on the highway for another semester". This is coming from a company who sells as many tires as it does tune-ups. When it comes to repair work they treat customers the same way. I have no doubt that if they tell me I need new brakes pads, or whatever, it's because I do and not because I'm an easy mark. They are interested in my business long term and have earned it. Everyone in Plano,Richardson, and Allen should get to know Gene, Mike, and Ron at Plano Tire in Plano, Texas.

P-Tire specializes in tires and suspension (alinement)and do a great job on both. If there are other things wrong they have pointed them out but don't make it sound like "if you don't let us fix it then you're going to die at the first intersection" like so many shops do. They take time to talk business but don't spend time bs'ing. A bunch of hard working, competent guys. I don't know how they handle complaints because I've never had one with them.

I have been doing business with Gene and his staff since moving to the Plano area in 1983. They were recommended by a friend at work. I have never been disappointed by their work. They have always diagosed the problem and shown me the problem area before starting any work on the vehicle. Their prices have always been competive with other shops I have sometimes taken my 3 vehicles to fix specific problems.

I mark hard. This is a very good review. Gene is a stand up guy and you can trust his advise.

Gene, and Doris(his better half) are wonderful people to deal with...Flat tire on the main road, and had the wrecker there within 15 minutes (nust have been a very slow day!), no not really! they provide this service everyday had the tire repaired while on the shoulder of the highway and the wrecker blocked any vehicle from plowing into my van. Also have had all my vehicles served there from inspections to new tires, pricing was fair and very competitive with big box stores such as SAM's Club & COSTCO. Will continue to have all my vehicles served by them.

The first time I used them it was recommended that the super charger be disconnected to fix the engine. The problem became compounded and when they fixed it it led to new problems. At the end of they day they worked with me, lent me a car to use several times and got it done and they did not charge any extra. The well meaning gentleman is no longer there but I know that the recommendation was in good faith. Since then I use them for all my problems and found them to be reliable, coureous and I think very honest. I am retired and have two older cars (paid for) and I feel confident that they will help me keep them going with the confidence that I can rely on them for a few more years. They also keep me apprised of future maintenance needs so I can anticipate.
