DO NOT TALK TO THIS MAN ABOUT MOTORCYCLES! However, if you need BMW service work done on a car - skip all the other places & get it done right (the first time), and save some $ doing it. Anyone that visits Priore Autocare becomes a biased customer (usually sooner than later), and "unmercifully honest" is how you are treated. Life is 90% maintainance, so you might as well get it right for your car. Don't go here unless you want your (BMW) car to be better-than-new, cleaner-than-clean. I used to be customer, now I consider Joe a friend & I STILL go nowhere else for BMW service. Nothing's free (that's worth anything), but you get MORE than you pay for here, you get competence, reliability, and the straight poop. Too bad politics & government can't take a lesson from this shop.

They specialize in BMW's. Joe Priore, his wife and techs are experts in older BMW's. I've taken my 1986 528e to him multiple times over three or four. Joe is honest and will give a dependanble recommendation as to what really needs to be done. Rates are not cheap, but where are they? For several years my 528(e)had an intermittant starting problem. I took it to at least 5 repair shops and one local BMW specialty shop. No one correctly diagnosed it. (starter, sensors, flywheel - all wrong) On the recommendation of another used BMW owner I took it to Priore. His service tech (Scott) identifed it as problem commonly asociated with the 1986 model. A rebuilt flywheel, although with appropritae specs for BMW was off. They installed factory manufactured flywheel - the problem was cured. I highly recommend Priore. They know and love BMW's.

I had my car serviced there recently, and was blown away by the passion these guys have for cars. It seemed a little expensive, but I get the feeling that my car and I are being well taken care of. Since this was the first time I was taking the car to them, they did a complete checkup to understand the condition of the car and will keep records on the condition for me from now on. They only do BMWs though.

Sadly, Joe and Brett have retired. Joe went to Taos. I hear Brett is somewhere still in the DFW area back working on cars after a hiatus, but I do not know where. Bret was a diagnostic GENIUS. Shop was bought by a nice guy named Edward, who was a certified aeronautical/jet mechanic. So I believe he has the attitude of the importance of fixing things & fixing them the first time & correctly. I haven't needed anything lately so cannot speak to how he is doing personally. But another BMW driver friend, also a long-time Priore customer, who took his 5 series wagon in & said everyhting went fine.
