Dwight and Don run a great shop and have excellent mechanics. These two act as service managers for the shop. They've always fixed the problem the first time around, including a malfunctioning transmission torque convertor switch that was mis-diagnosed by two other shops. It only took them an hour to ID this problem! Their prices are sometimes up to 5% higher than other people, but you make up more than the extra cost in hourly labor and quality. They have one customer who lives about 90 miles away and drives the distance if his car will run because he was so impressed with their first repair. I'd recommend them under any conditions, and they'll do any kind of work!

They have done work for me on three vehicles for a period over 5 years. They are close, which is why I first used them, but their work was very good, and that is why I kept coming back. They once did a strut job, and then told me that there was a sale price I had no idea about, saving me about 80 dollars.

My father in-law first put me in touch with these guys, telling me he would have his car towed past 5 or 6 dealerships to put it in Dwight & Don's hands. Just last month, he was in hospital and the car stalled on Mother, so I took it directly to D&D. They cleaned half a bushel of acorns from the intake and replaced the air filter, when I would have been willing to replace a fuel pump. Hourly rate is a few bucks more than other independents, but it gets done in one trip, period.

I've been taking cars and trucks to Dwight and Don's for 27 years. They do great work and don't try to sell you services you don't need or want. What sold me was the first time I drove in. Texas has a state inspection required every year. In the old days, your headlights needed to be inspected and adjusted if they were out of alignment. The shop got to charge for that over and above the cost of the inspection and that extra $ was all profit. D&D was the first place I'd ever been that didn't do the adjustment. They checked the lights, declared them good and just charged for the inspection. I knew then I'd found an honest shop. I've never been overcharged or under served. I reccommend them to all my friends.

Fast, friendly, fair prices. Lots of repeat business, have been around for a long time. Not going to try to sell you things that you don't need.
