The engine on my Ford Taurus wagon recently blew a head gasket on a road trip from San Antonio to McAllen, TX. I had the vehicle towed to the nearest Ford dealer in McAllen who decided the engine needed to be replaced at a cost of over $4000. I probably would have accepted this decision if the service advisor, who was in constant motion every time we spoke, would have slowed down long enough to explain their rationale. I decided to seek a second opinion and had the car towed to Stutz Auto Service, who had previously worked on my wife's Ford Windstar. Stutz reached the same conclusion as the Ford dealer. The BIG difference was that Kerry Stutz took the time to explain what caused the head gasket failure, the condition of the motor resulting from the failure and the options available to fix the motor. In the end, I accepted Kerry's recommendation to rebuild the motor and received frequent updates from the shop while I vacationed with my family in New England. I've been driving the car for about a month now and have been very pleased with the performance of the rebuilt motor. Moreover, Stutz warranted their work for 12 months or 12,000 miles. They also saved me over $1,000 compared to the Ford dealer's estimate. But, above all else, Kerry Stutz provided superior customer service to help me choose the right option to ensure the job was done right. Thanks, Kerry!

They are honest and priced right. They will have my business as long as I live in The Valley. I'm very pleased with their work.

they know what they are doing and have a strong work ethic. I've never been mistreated. I moved to the valley in 92 and needed them right away. they were the only ones who did not talk down to me (female). I still get the same service today (2008).
