I went to a nearby VW dealership for a repair to replace the fan module in my car and they quoted me a price of $1050 and I'd have to wait 3 days for them to get the part. When I went to this mechanic it cost me $435 and he got the part in 2 hours and I got my car back in 3 hours.

The gentleman who worked the front desk was friendly; however, I went in for just an oil change. While I waiting for my car to be serviced, every single patron who was there was told by the mechanic that something other than what their car was being serviced for was wrong and/or broken. They told me that my axle shaft was broken and needed to be replaced otherwise it may break on me while driving. It seemed to me that they have a tendency to convince their clients that they NEED these suggested repairs ASAP or their cars may crash as a result. I may be biased because I used to have a great mechanic back home who took the time to explain to me in layman terms what was wrong with my car and how soon it may need to be fixed, regardless if he was actually going to get my business. I'm definitely going to be shopping around to get a second opinion on their suggested repairs.
