V-Dub Folks is a shop that works on all VW's from air-cooled to the latest offerings. I do most of my own work and always buy my parts from them as they have OEM at very good prices. When I do have a repair beyond my skills or tools, I have had excellent service from their mechanics. The repairs are good and they really work hard to get it done when promised.

These folks know their vintage VWs. Always friendly, and willing to take as long as necessary to make sure I understand what needs to be done, or to just give advice on work I plan on doing myself. Parts prices very reasonable, labor also reasonable. They can be a tad slow getting the work done, but they do a good job.

They have always treated me with respect for not knowing much about cars. A time that best exemplifies this was when I brought my car in to have the check engine light checked. They determined it was the catalytic converter in my 2003 Golf. Rather than charge me for the repair (to the tune of probably ~$400), they informed me that the car had a EPA mandated 8 year warranty on converter and said to take it to my dealership where they'd replace it at no cost! So I did just that. It takes a person of a certain caliber to turn down getting paid $400 and tell a customer where they can get it done for free. A+ in my book.

A great place for VW/Audi work. Good labor rates, they do excellent work for a very fair price. I do most of my own maintenance work, but have used them for larger jobs. Have been fast, friendly, and knowledgeable. An honest shop, they don't try to sell you things you don't need.

I used to take my car to the dealer for repairs until I finally realized they were making up for their lack of car sales by overcharging me for repairs. I NEVER got out of the dealership without spending at least $800. I looked up a good mechanic using car talk referrals and found V-DUB FOLKS and have been more than satisfied ever since. My repair cost have dropped more than 50%, the guys are super friendly and honest. The only setback is the fact that they are not opened on Saturday but I learned that this fact helps them attract better quality mechanics who are family oriented and want their weekends free to spend time with their family.
