Dec 16, 1999
I spent $2500 to have my NISSAN 90 STANZA overhauled by a dealer of AMMCO on Dec. 1997. The work was warranted for six month only. I had intuition AMMCO did NOT do the work right and well. It broke again on May 1999 after approximately 30,000 miles run. Legally I have no standpoint to claim anything from that chain store of AMMCO. My wife introduced me go to AutoRite and try. AutoRite explained to me what necessary inexpensive works other than overhauling the transmission (replaceing with a rebuilt one) shall be done together in the same time to make repairment worthy and lasting long. The price is setup as $1200 before the work started. They turned back TWICE two poor-rebuilt transmissions back to shop after they installed and tested. They finally (the 3rd time) installed a good one and tested well. They are ethically honest. They remind me I need to chage transimission fluid at least every 35000 miles. They also say spending a little more to flush the transmission system, including the radiator used to cool the transmission fluid, will keep my car's transmission in good shape for a long lomg time. My car runs very smoothly now. I can tell it is better than AMMCO's work when I compare the condition after the same milage. I have already drived another 16,000 miles now at 108000 miles. For a work like this, they will give me one their owned decent cars FREE to solve my transportation problem to and from work. All they need is to sign a document to swarp my insurance policy to cover that car during my usage period.
