Israel's looks aren't what kept me coming back. Everyone was friendly and did the work well. When a power window fell into the door, they spent hours fixing it but only charged me for the time it should have taken. When I finally ran my car into the ground, Israel told me he could work on it, but I'd probably be better off just getting a new car. To me, that's honesty. He always explained what he was doing and why and showed me the parts that needed replacing. I don't think I ever had to take the car back because something wasn't done right, but if I did, it got fixed quickly. They're on Bellaire hidden between Palace Lanes and the bakery, and a Metro bus runs there. I work downtown, so I didn't get shuttled. They close earlier than most other repair places, so I always had to leave work early to catch the bus to get there by closing time. I took his recommendation and got a new car, so I haven't been back for a while. When the new one needs work, I'll probably be back.

Uzi, Isreal, and Gal are almost like family! We've taken our cars to Uzi's for about 9 yrs and they've always done a great job at a good price. I will say, their labor prices are not cheep! But, you pay for want you get. They have the philosophy that if it's not broken, don't fix it. If it is broken, do what's needed to get things running. They also are very careful to check for other problems while working...but will call & advise first. They even loaned me "Stinky" the shop truck to get by until my car was up and running. I've recommended numerous friends to Uzi, and they've been satisfied as well.

We found Uzi's through a friend, who found them through a friend. In fact, I think ALL of Uzi's customers have found their way there via word of mouth. And it is for good reason that this small auto shop off Bellaire between Moeller's and Palace Lanes get recommended. They are honest, do good work, charge a fair rate, educate their customers, and are friendly to boot. When my car overheated, I called Uzi's and Israel explained what I needed to do to safely "fix" my car so that I could get it to the shop. At our 120K check, Israel and Gal told me that my car is fit to go until I decide to buy a new one and then proceeded to tell me what I needed to do maintain the car to that I can drive for another 120K or more. They also told me what is most likely to have a problem next and what to listen/look for so that I know to bring it in before it becomes a big problem. The bottom line is that Uzi's Autohaus is a good experience for the small things and the large things that go wrong with our car and I can't think of nicer,no-nonsense people to deal with than Israel and Gal.

I took my 2002 Passat here to have the clutch replaced at 8am and it was done by 4pm the same day. Very friendly and competent staff...wish I had started coming here years ago!
