We have used Louis for about 20 years, through many old cars that he has kept running for us well beyond their life expectancy. Probably the most amusing story is the time my ' 86 Dodge Caravan lost it's timing chain while I was driving home to Houston from Florida. I had to leave the car with a Goodyear dealer, to have it towed to a dealer in some little town right across the bay bridge from Mobile, Alabama. It is a hairy dog story. Had to take a $30. cab ride to rent a car at the Mobile Airport. Rented a car for a couple of hundred bucks for the week. Drove to New Orleans, put my two sons on a flight back to Houston to begin the school year. I Spent a week with my daughter who lived in the French Quarter. (got 3 parking tickets as there is no where to park long term there) I drove back to Mobile to drop rental car and pick up my Caravan to the tune of $1,200. from the dealer (who knew I was stranded) I had a flat on the way home and had to buy a tire. By the time I was crossing the Louisiana swamp bridge, I was so tired I rested my foot on the dash.......Low and behold, to top it all off, I thought I had gone blind!!! (I had stepped on the light control knob) Well, all in all, we figured it would have been cheaper to have had the car TOWED home to Louis! He said I was grossly over charged, not to mention the car rental and the two Southwest Airline flights for our sons. Moral of the story......beware of mechanics who know that you ar
