I've been coming here with my 2001 VW Golf for about a year now and have always enjoyed excellent and professional service. Not long ago I drove my poor little car over a small mound of coarse gravel (don't ask) that was a little to high for me to clear. Horrible noises started coming from underneath the middle of my car - not the engine or the muffler - near the automatic transmission. Even though it was after shop hours I gave Autohouse a call and was surprised to find the owner still there and willing to talk. He confirmed my fears that it sounded like a rock in the linkage between the engine and transmission, told me not to drive it, gave me the number of a wrecker service and told me to have it towed to them first thing the next day. After having the car towed it and checked out by their service manager there was no problem. Wherever the rock was the bumpy ride on the wrecker dislodged it and the car was starting and driving fine, nice and quiet like normal. They drove it around and looked for damage on the underbody and confirmed that all was good. They didn't charge me a nickle for the time they put into it that day.
