I was going from Dallas TX to Italy TX, and the car quit. Cranking fine, but no fire outside a weird half-spark. Insurance company (Thanks for Roadside Assistance!) contacted these folks in Hillsboro, they came and picked me up, but I had no clue who to take the car to. The towing outfit had their own shop, so why not? I figured it was either a 5 minute fix or 2 days. So the lead mechanic listened to me and said it sounded like the fuel filter. It figures. So it turns out this car has an electric fuel pump inside the gas tank, and since the filter was clogged (0 lbs pressure measured), it had burned out the fuel pump motor. So. In the end, it cost about $500 to repair the damage caused by a $11 filter that I didn't know any better to replace once in a while. Expensive, but these folks are honest, and I do recommend them.
