Several people I know have been regular customers of theirs for many years and highly recommend them.

We had a rattle under our car for some time and hadn't been able to locate the problem. We took our vehicle to two different shops where two different diagnosis were given and two different repair jobs were done. Still the rattle persisted. On a trip out of town, a new noise under the hood began. A mechanic said the problem was the alternator. We had had that replaced 5 months earlier, but I had the new one installed(Our money for the other was refunded). Before I returned home, a different noise under the hood occurred. We took our car to another shop and we agreed that it sounded like the air compressor was going out. The noise stopped when the air conditioner was turned off. They enstalled a new one. The noise continued. They said it was the alternator. I found Automotive Innovations on CarTalk.com. They identified both the rattle under the car and the incorrect alternator and fixed them both in record time. The car sounds great! They also gave me a diagram concerning the alternator to take to the shop out of town so that I could get my money back. We got every penny back from that shop and the one that placed an air compressoer in the car. The folks at Automotive Innovations were polite and professionial and reasonably priced. We love Car Talk and are indeed greatful.
