When I go to Galveston Battery and Electric, I get treated well. They call and explain the problem once they diagnose it and they give you a firm price. I had a "Service Engine Soon" light come on and they determined it was just because of a failed sensor associated with the transmission. I was told it would cost at least $400 to fix it and that I could drive with it on and do no harm. They could have had me for a few hundred bucks and they didn't take the opportunity. They're a longtime, family owned business and they treat people properly.

After years of Galveston Battery & Electric taking care of my '91 Olds Royale, I bought a used '97 Taurus LS. Didn't have anyone look it over before I bought it from a private person. I heard a knocking noise in the right front end and was concerned. Sonny and crew looked at it, not only assuring me that all I needed was a couple of tires and alignment, but also telling me the car looked good overall after they eye-balled it. No Charge. These guys will treat you right and not screw you. It's a longtime, family-owned business. They don't do mainly major repairs, I guess. No alignments, for instance. I'll vouch for them

The first time we used GBE, they fixed a problem that the dealer could not fix. We've been going back ever since. They fix the problem and point out anything else that needs attention. They have always honored their estimates. They don't try to cram the bill with unnecessary or marginal work. They generally finish work the day they start, unless they have to order a part from the mainland.
