I haven't put Spenser's in the MechanX files before, because I don't want everyone to find his shop. He's great! Has worked on my '82 Mercedes, my '93 Honda, and my 2002 VW. Great work; trustworthy.

Being a female who has had bad experiences with mechanics, when I purchased my 1970 VW Beetle, I knew it would need to be worked on by someone sufficient in VW repair, who was honest with me and did not take me for a financial ride. Spenser and his crew represent true "quality" as their name suggest . When I go for routine maintenance, I notice that they work on a variety of both domestic and import vehicles. As a matter of fact, I am currently now looking for a used SUV and will be counting on Spenser's opinion about any vehicle that I am truly serios in, especially since he would be the one making any repairs and maintaing the vehicle for me. Denton, TX is a small town that has a lot of mechanics, but Spenser's is the very best.

A friend recommended these guys and, even though I have to drive about 8 to 10 miles passing up dozens of other shops to get to them, I think they are worth it. They have proven there are decent mechanics out there. I love these guys!

I took my car to Spenser's because this is the car shop that my sister and brother-in-law use. I have had an overheating problem with my car for months and had been taking it to a shop in Addison, with no resolution of the problem. I dropped the car off at 8:00 a.m. and he had found the problem and proposed the solution and cost of repair by 2:15 p.m. that same day. The other shop came up with the resolution that I either needed head gasket replacement or a new engine. The problem was that my heater core was filled with sludge and had messed up my water pump, as well as causing a blockage at the thermostat. Spenser flushed out my system, including the heater core, replaced the water pump and the thermostat. It works like a charm. Spenser said that nothing was wrong with my engine. I highly recommend this mechanic. He listens to you and is a very good troubleshooter.
