Ten years ago, in '90, when I moved to Dallas, the major hotel I worked for recommended Dunlap Swain as the hotel took all their vehicles there for maintenance. Although there are several locations, I have experrience only with the downtown San Jacinto branch. My humble '87 Toyota now has well over 200,000 miles on it and it's still running smoothly due to, I'm convinced, the sensible, good care that all the fellows at Dunlap Swain have given me since I drove it into Dallas ten years ago. In those ten years, I have probably had no more than $1,000 major repair work done other than its scheduled maintenance which I am very conscientious about. When I bought my second car, a '98 Mazda Miata, my first stop was Dunlap Swain. When my daughter was used car shopping, we brought four vehicles there before one received a thumbs up. I drop my car off at 7 am, they'll drive me to work (they're on the edge of the downtown business district), call me if they find anything unusual, have recommendations or to explain what they've found. There are times that they've told me something really must be replaced, and other repairs that they've advised not investing money in, due to the age of the Toyota. Their advise has been correct. Work is done promptly and usually my car is ready by early afternoon. Now granted, I've been a loyal customer for ten years, but others I have sent there are equally pleased. These guys are so good, I even drop candy and donuts off for them! They're my heros.

With wife and three kids of driving age, I own and operate a fleet of five Toyotas - a 1996 Avalon, a 1999 Corolla, a 2001 Avalon, a 2002 Sequoiah, and 2004 Camry. These guys do all the work, repairs and maintentence on my fleet. Unfortunately they don't give me a fleet discount, but their work is good, and I trust their judgment and recommendations. I have been taking my cars to these guys for over 10 years. To date, I have only had one bad experience - once they failed to replace the oil filler cap after an oil change and oil blew all over the engine compartment. They replaced the oil and the filler cap, steam cleaned the engine, and gave me two free oil changes.
